To support engine performance over long distances, the fuel systems in aircraft must be able to work safely so that there is no risk of fire or explosion. In the fuel system there is an inerting gas generation system which will reduce fire or explosion especially from inside the fuel tank. The iggs separates oxygen (21% in the air) and nitrogen (78% in the air) in tanks that will then be reduced in oxygen by the air separator module. There has been indications of a reduction in performance from the component of the air separator module which causes the iggs to malfunction, which may cause a shortage of nitrogen levels to be put into the fuel tank center. The purpose of this research is to identify the cause of the decrease in performance of asm and to know how its reinforcement using methods for study of literature and direct observation. After the problem that occurred in the ASM was found, the repair process was carried out in accordance with the instructions of the Trouble Shooting Manual. The result of the maintenance and retesting carried out was that no internal demage or contamination was found on the ASM components but a false indication.
