The freshness and speed of service certainly very necessary. This research takes a case study at Batam Polytechnic Library where the service system has been quite good by using a client server system, however this system not integrated yet with android smartphone. This Book Loan System Application at Batam Polytechnic Library Based on Android Platform almost equal as library applications in general but has an improvement to be able to communicate with android smartphone. This application was built using a client-server system. Server Application is built using web based which is used by admin and librarian for library application need. Client Application is in the form of mobile android application installed on android smartphone belonging to student with the main function to see the list of books, order the books, extending borrowing books, and see the rest of the time borrowing books and the cost penalty of books that have not been returned.
