    One of the emerging information technology today is a Geographic Information System (GIS). Geographic Information Systems is a specialized information system that mengola data have spatial information. Geographic Information System is a computer system that has the ability to build, store, manage and display geographically referenced information. Therefore, it should be made a mapping information system about the student's home area, either online (web-based) as well as in the form of a map analoq. The method used for the preparation of the information system is to combine web applications with WebGIS. Some of the software used, among others, Quantum Gis, PHP and HTML. Through this application the community helped resolve issues related to the area of origin information Batam Polytechnic students based WebGIS (case study: Computer Science). Expected in the future this application can be an application more efficiently can interactively again so well tested and is very useful for users.
