Abstract
In observing atmospheric data in the field of aerospace , there is a
need for a device to observe atmospheric conditions. One of the required
tools is a balloon as known as balloon sonde. Auto tracking is to follow
the direction and movement of radiosonde in order to align the antenna
and radiosonde. The way how to follow the direction of the balloon is to
communicate between the two devices. The data acquired from
experiment is balloon positins consisting of langitude, latitude and
altitude data wich will be further processed into the movement of pitch
angle and yaw. From the analisys, this experiment shown the actual
results of the tracker had average percentage of 15% error but does not
affect the antenna because beam width reaches 20 degrees. The advantage
of this device is it can beat 10 km radius when tracking.
