Abstract
This study aims to analyze the occurrence of waste of waiting in the raw material inventory process in the COSL Department and identify the factors that cause delays in the delivery of raw materials to the production line. The method used in this study is Lean Manufacturing, with a focus on identifying waste of waiting that occurs during the material request and delivery process. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews, and documentation related to the flow of raw materials. The analysis was conducted by evaluating the waiting activities that can disrupt the continuity of the production process. The results showed that delays in the availability and delivery of raw materials can cause operators to wait and disrupt the smooth flow of production activities. Based on the evaluation of eight indicators of waste of waiting, five indicators or 62.5% were achieved, while three indicators or 37.5% were not achieved. The indicators that were not achieved included the implementation of the production process according to the work sequence, effective utilization of working time, and the accuracy of material flow to the production line. These findings indicate that waste of waiting still occurs in the raw material inventory process and needs to be reduced to support a smoother and more continuous production process.
