| dc.description.abstract | In a business, especially the business of selling items, data of each item is very important for a seller. The use of manual information system can make some error, such as error in collecting items data, error in the sales transaction process, and paper need as data storage in large quantities. On the other side, buyers have some problems when they want to buy some items. Those problems are the information about the location of a store, the availability and price of an item, and limited time to shop. Implementation of online shopping can handle the problems that faced by the buyer, but the method of online shopping is still not practical due to having to access the website first, choosing the menu to see or searching for items, and then decided to buy the items. To resolve the problems that faced by the seller and the buyer, this final project designed a system that is able to manage information and data quickly, precise, and accurate called Point of Sale and a new method of online shopping that allows buyers to perform ordering items transaction by scanning the barcode of an item using the camera on a smartphone device. Between the Point of Sales system for sellers and the new online shopping method system using barcode scanning service to buyers connected by Cloud Computing Software as a Service. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstrak | Pada sebuah bisnis terutama bisnis penjualan barang, pendataan barang merupakan hal yang sangat penting bagi seorang penjual. Penggunaan sistem informasi secara manual memungkinkan terjadinya kesalahan pendataan barang, kesalahan dalam proses transaksi penjualan, dan membutuhkan media penyimpanan berupa kertas dalam jumlah banyak. Di sisi lain, pembeli mengalami permasalahan ketika ingin berbelanja suatu barang. Permasalahan tersebut adalah informasi mengenai lokasi suatu toko, ketersediaan dan harga sebuah barang, dan keterbatasan waktu untuk berbelanja. Penerapan online shopping dapat mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi pembeli, namun metode online shopping masih kurang praktis dikarenakan harus mengakses website terlebih dahulu, memilih menu melihat atau mencari barang, dan memutuskan untuk membeli barang. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh penjual dan pembeli, pada Tugas Akhir ini dirancang sistem yang mampu mengatur lalu lintas informasi dan data secara cepat, tepat, dan akurat yaitu sistem Point of Sale dan suatu metode online shopping yang memungkinkan pembeli dapat melakukan transaksi pemesanan barang dengan pemindaian terhadap barcode suatu barang menggunakan kamera pada perangkat smartphone. Antara sistem Point of Sales untuk penjual dan metode sistem online shopping menggunakan pemindaian barcode untuk pembeli dihubungkan oleh layanan Cloud Computing Software as a Service. | en_US |
