Data Warehouse Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru

Abstract

New admissions has become an annual event conducted by the Politeknik Batam. New admissions which includes registration, selection of entrance examination, re-registration, matriculation and ospek. Data from new students put into Academic Information Systems and partly incorporated into the server. To perform retrieval or data manipulation new admissions takes an operator of a system that has the ability to make query. This of course takes time, and an additional constraint on the part of implementers who have not been able to process of query. While decision-makers need access to all the data, so that the delivery of information less cumbersome and less accurate.

It required a data warehouse that can be used to query and analisisis, are subject- oriented, integrated, time-variant, unchanged, also can store large volumes of data and storing

historical data is used to assist decision makers.

The data warehouse can facilitate the management in accordance with the query needs to take the right decisions in order to improve the quality of teaching new admissions in the next year.
