| dc.description.abstract | It’s our need to have information quickly and easily have become a staple of the community, especially among students. One of the required information at this time is to need for geographic information. Every each Batam Polytechnic students have a wide variety of information related to the geographic location of region of origin they are. Therefore, it is necessary to build an application on the distribution of students in the form of maps and WebGIS. So the distribution of information that the student's home area if it can be managed properly, then the leader can know the grouping formed by the distribution of the student's home area, that can support informed decision-making related to the decision campus programs. The method used to make the Distribution of Students According to the Home School (Case Study: Business Management) is a web-based mapping (WebGIS). The software is used, among others, Quantum GIS, PHP and MySQL. This system can display maps and location information of the school and the position of the user in the form of analog maps and online maps, geographic information displays a visual representation of the distribution of Batam Polytechnic students by the school of origin. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstrak | Kebutuhan untuk memperoleh informasi secara cepat dan mudah telah menjadi kebutuhan pokok bagi masyarakat, terutama bagi kalangan mahasiswa. Salah satu informasi yang dibutuhkan masyarakat pada saat ini adalah kebutuhan informasi geografis. Setiap mahasiswa Politeknik Negeri Batam memiliki berbagai macam informasi yang berhubungan dengan informasi lokasi geografis daerah asalnya. Oleh karena itu, perlu membangun sebuah aplikasi tentang sebaran mahasiswa dalam bentuk peta dan WebGIS. Sehingga informasi sebaran daerah asal mahasiswa tersebut apabila dapat dikelola dengan baik, maka pimpinan dapat mengetahui pengelompokkan yang terbentuk dari sebaran daerah asal mahasiswa sehingga dapat menunjang pengambilan keputusan yang tepat terkait program sosialisasi kampus. Metode yang digunakan untuk membuat Sebaran Mahasiswa Berdasarkan Asal Sekolah (Studi kasus : Manajemen Bisnis ) adalah pemetaan berbasis web (WebGIS). Adapun perangkat lunak yang digunakan antara lain Quantum GIS, PHP dan MySQL. Sistem informasi ini dapat menampilkan peta dan informasi lokasi sekolah dan posisi pengguna dalam bentuk peta analog dan peta online, menampilkan informasi geografis gambaran visual tentang sebaran mahasiswa Politeknik Negeri Batam berdasarkan asal sekolah. | en_US |
