Abstract

Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machines require high and variable electrical power consumption. At PT TEC Indonesia, current measurements are commonly used to calculate electrical energy consumption (kWh) and analyze machine energy usage patterns. Previously, this process was performed manually using a clamp meter, requiring current averaging and manual calculations to obtain kWh values. To improve the monitoring process, this study developed a real-time energy monitoring system that automatically measures current and converts it into energy consumption data. Both manual and automated measurements were based on a single-phase approach to ensure consistency in the comparison. The system performance was evaluated using the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) method based on ten PCB samples. The results show that the proposed system achieved a MAPE value of 1.31%, corresponding to an accuracy of 98.69%. These results indicate that the developed system can provide reliable real-time energy monitoring and has the potential to replace conventional manual measurement methods.
