Abstract
The pupose of this study is to examine the difference of creativity and employee's
innovative working behavior in manufacturing firms that apply kaizen and those
that do not apply kaizen. Population in this study are employees and staff who
working at manufacturing company in Batamindo Industrial Park Muka kuning,
Batam. The study is using primer data obtained from the questionnaire. In
addition, the sample of this study are employee who is active working with the
number of samples as many as 100 employees. In addition, the sampling
technique using purposive technique sampling where sampling is based on
certain criteria. Technic of processing data using the software IBM SPSS 20.
Hypothesis test is done by using paired samples t-test analysis by software IBM
SPSS 20. Moreover, the results of this study indicate that there are differences in
creativity and innovative working behavior in companies that apply kaizen and
those that do not apply kaizen. Kaizen is able to increase effectivity and also
efficiency on operational process in a company. In conclusion, study for further
are suggested to increase the number of samples and to use different data
collection techniques, and also this study can be apply in another firm such as
service firm, IT firm, and etc.
