Abstract

safe, and efficient electrical installation system to support various fabrication equipment and operational activities. Improper electrical design may lead to safety risks, equipment damage, and operational inefficiencies. Therefore, this proposal aims to design an electrical installation system and analyze material requirements for a fabrication workshop in accordance with applicable standards. The method used in this study includes data collection through field observation and literature study, analysis of workshop layout and electrical load requirements, calculation of electrical power demand, and design of the electrical distribution system covering main distribution panels, sub-panels, cable selection, protection devices, and grounding systems. The design process is completed by preparing technical drawings and a bill of quantity (BOQ) to estimate material needs and installation costs. The results of this proposal are expected to produce a comprehensive electrical installation design that meets safety, reliability, and efficiency requirements, as well as complies with the Indonesian electrical installation standard (PUIL 2020). This design can be used as a reference for the implementation of electrical installations in fabrication workshops.
