Abstract

In the manufacturing industry, accurate and efficient measurement data recording is essential to ensure product quality and process traceability. However, the existing Core Pre-Press Process still requires operators to manually record measurement results from digital weighing scales and digital calipers into the Data Sheet (DTS), resulting in longer processing time and an increased risk of human error. This study aims to develop an Automatic Measurement Data Recording System by integrating a digital weighing scale, a Bluetooth U-WAVE digital caliper, and a Raspberry Pi. The system automatically transfers measurement data to the Data Sheet (DTS), eliminating manual data entry. The developed system automatically acquires measurement data and transfers it directly to the Data Tracking System (DTS), eliminating the need for manual data entry. The Comparative Analysis of Time was used to evaluate the system by comparing the measurement process before and after implementation. The results show that the total cycle time decreased from 522.25 seconds to 320.23 seconds, representing a 38.7% improvement in process efficiency. In addition, the data recording time was reduced from 168.07 seconds to 26.10 seconds, significantly minimizing repetitive manual tasks and recording errors. The implementation of the proposed system improves process efficiency, enhances data accuracy and traceability, and supports manufacturing digitalization through standardized, real-time measurement data management.
