Sistem Database Pada Smart Locker Berbasis Fingerprint

Abstract
In this modern era, technological advancements significantly facilitate human life, including in the storage of goods. Conventional lockers are commonly used in libraries, sports facilities, and industrial companies. The smart locker is an innovation that uses fingerprint sensors as a key to open locker doors, addressing issues with conventional methods, and providing comfort and efficiency for users. This locker utilizes the Arduino Mega 2560 as a microcontroller, which connects to a website and database, making it easier for admins to monitor user data. With 8 storage slots, the Arduino Mega 2560 is chosen for its higher pin count compared to other Arduino types. Based on testing with 24 users for two parameters: Database and Fingerprint Reading, it was found that the error rate for both the Database and Fingerprint Reading is 4.17%. Although the system performs well in storing data and reading fingerprints, significant issues were found in the relay component, which requires further review to improve the system's performance and reliability. It is hoped that this smart locker will not only provide security through biometric technology but also enhance access efficiency by eliminating the risk of losing and damaging physical keys.
