Abstract

This project focuses on analyzing the reliability of Power over Ethernet (PoE) Switches in surveillance system installations using the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) method. The study aims to identify the most critical failure modes affecting system performance, such as excessive LAN cable length, switch overheating due to poor ventilation, lack of cable protection, and PoE load overload. By evaluating Severity (S), Occurrence (O), and Detection (D), the Risk Priority Number (RPN) is determined to prioritize corrective actions and improvement strategies. The implementation of these improvements helps reduce system failures, increase operational stability, and improve the overall reliability of the surveillance network
