Abstract
Company XYZ conducted this study by
adding additional sensors to the underfill machine.
This was done to facilitate the identification of
defective products and reduce the number of non
conforming (NG) items. The detection sensors were
designed to detect defects in FPC products, making the
resin application process easier with the sensors in
place. As a result, the rework typically performed on
defective products is now less necessary. The cutting
and splicing process requires manual visual
inspection, which causes delays and downtime in the
next step, namely the M-Test machine. The objective
of this study is to analyze the root causes of non
conforming products on the underfill machine and to
determine appropriate corrective and preventive
actions to minimize product rejection. This study
includes process flow analysis, checklist verification,
and the development of a plan for the installation and
control of equipment, materials, and work methods.
The addition of extra sensors is expected to improve
the effectiveness of the underfill process, reduce the
number of rejected products, and minimize downtime
on subsequent machines.
Description
It's a significant challenge in the production process when people don't want to
buy things. There are several reasons why this can happen, like when the
equipment doesn't work right or when there are limits on inspections. Higher
rejection rates could mean higher production expenses. To fix this, make the
procedures better and cut down on downtime in the following devices. To make
the products better and the production process more efficient, process optimization
is necessary.
Company XYZ did this study by adding an extra sensor to the underfill machine.
This made it easier to find products Punch and cut down on the quantity of faulty
(NG) items. The built-in sensor is meant to discover faults with products early, so
the cut and join process that happens when things are broken is less needed. The
cut-and-join process requires a manual visual examination, which causes delays
and downtime for the next step, the M-Test machine.
The objective of this study is to examine the root causes of non-conforming goods
in the underfill machine and to determine suitable remedial and preventive actions
to minimize product rejection. The study includes analyzing the flow of processes,
checking off items on a list, and coming up with a plan for installing and
controlling equipment, materials, and labor methods.
The addition of the extra sensor is expected to make the underfill process more
effective, lower the number of products that are rejected, and cut down on the M
Test machine's downtime.
