Abstract

The coffee machine testing process at PT XYZ still relies on manual measurements for water volume and pressure parameters, resulting in longer inspection times, potential human errors, and difficulties in data recording. This study aims to develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring system using an ESP32 microcontroller and a YF-S401 flow rate sensor to automate data acquisition and real-time monitoring. The proposed system was implemented using ESP32, PHP, MySQL, and a web-based monitoring dashboard. System performance was evaluated by comparing manual and IoT-based measurements at seven water volume levels and four pressure levels. The results showed that the IoT system achieved percentage errors ranging from 0.05% to 1.20% for water volume measurements and from 5.71% to 15.34% for pressure measurements. Furthermore, the system reduced water volume inspection time by 30.10% and pressure inspection time by 14.28%. These findings demonstrate that the proposed system can improve measurement reliability, reduce inspection time, and support more efficient coffee machine testing processes at PT XYZ.
