Abstract

This study analyzes the causes of NG Work Cut Miss alarms on Core Press machines at PT Panasonic Industrial Device Batam to reduce lost time and improve production efficiency. The alarm occurs when the confirmation sensor fails to detect a cut NG product, causing machine stoppages that disrupt the production process and reduce daily output. Root cause analysis is conducted using the Fishbone Diagram and PDCA (Plan-DoCheck-Act) methods to identify factors related to sensors, machine conditions, and production processes. Based on the analysis results, improvement actions are proposed to minimize alarm occurrences, increase machine uptime, and enhance overall production performance.
