    Analysis Defect Non-Wetting U7 on PCBA Model DM3XX

    The DM3XX production process, non-Wetting rejects were found. The most difficult aspect of any solder defect on area array package is inability to observe defect easily. It's important to understand the characteristics of solder defects to identify appropriate actions to reduce defects in soldering process. Head-in-pillow defects are solder defects in area array packages characterized by a lack of coalescence between the solders. The purpose of this study was to determine causes of Non-Wetting U7 IC (CG201-10022-1R00) DM3XX and to prevent occurrence of Non-Wetting U7 IC DM3XX. To find out causal factors and prevent occurrence of U7 IC Non-Wetting, a fishbone diagram approach and mapping process are needed in this study. After analysis using fishbone diagram and why why analysis, defect non-Wetting caused by bent U7 leads, resulting in uneven soldering in reflow process. The bent position of U7 leads can't be corrected in other SMT processes. It can only be prevented using AOI. The AOI value required in non-wetting to process assembly is at level 70 for lower and 70 upper spec checking. Both factors have contributed to the decrease in reject produced by the process. Has an influence of 98.92% so it will be effective when implemented.

    Cycle Time Improvement for Soldering Process on the Assembly Process of RFID Card

    Teaching Factory Manufacturing of Electronics (TFME) is facility of Politeknik Negeri Batam that designed according to the real industry orientation in Batam. TFME already had mass producing RFID Card for student ID card Politeknik Negeri Batam with production output is 400 units per week. Several items need to be considered during mass production which is quality, quantity (output) and production costs. Profit will be achieved when we produced unit with high output and low cost. Based on the analysis and collecting data showing that Soldering Antenna on the assembly of RFID Card is the bottle neck process with high of cycle time consuming 180 sec/unit.

    Design of Experiment ( DoE ) Liquid Photoimageable Solder Masks ( LPISM ) PCB pada Teaching Factory Manufacturing of Electronics ( TFME ) Politeknik Negeri Batam

    In an electronic circuit, a component that can connect to each other without using a cable on a board acts as the conductor for electrical current called a PCB (Printed Circuit Board). Implementation of the PCB by screen printing process uses the LPISM (Liquid Photoimageable Solder Masks) application which in application for PCB plating by controlling the amount of solder masks in a single coating using the appropriate parameters with Design of Experiment (DoE) method. This method of DoE, aimed at improving quality using the minimum cost. LPISM will be implemented in Teaching Factory, Politeknik Negeri Batam to protect PCB lines not connected each other,to give proper dosage, and to reduce the using solder masks lamination, so laboratory assistant in Teaching Factory, Politeknik Negeri Batam can produce PCB using LPISM method with IPC-SM-840C standar or near using experiment data-24 with thikness of solder masks is 2,5 μ.

    Improvement Tools and Parameter on Coating Manual Machine for Coating Automatic Machine to Reduce Reject

    NTC (Negative temperature Coefficient) is an electronic component, esistance value changes based on temperature changes and this component is a passive component. Manual coating machine is a machine for coating or wraping NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) material. Improvement automation on this machine is for updates machines previously operate by manually become full control by a compute. Manual machine can’t monitor reject and performance machine, because of that author make an improvement on this machine to reduce reject, optimal method, monitoring performance and other. Method using on this proposal is update parameter and make a machine become automatic with new tools like a using motor stepper, pneumatis system, and vibration system. Update parameter doing by study of parameter for best parameter to get more stable quality, for tools define by spect material and spesification part. This proposal expected can make a quality stable, reduce the reject, auto operate and movement machine more optimal. The target for reducing reject make a 0.78% from the target 2%, for consumption of chemical a and chemical b reduce until 48.57% from the target 30%, for OEE on auto coating machine get 88% from the target 85% and cycle time on 1 hour get 4031 pcs on manual caoting machine make a 5379 pcs on auto coating machine for percentage can reduce until 33,44%.

    Inspection of Clevis

    An IPQC inspector is an officer who controls the quality of a product or material. IPQC's role in maintaining the quality of a product gives customers a sense of calm. Therefore, it is necessary to do an analysis to improve the quality and quantity of production. Therefore, it is necessary to collect data and review things that can improve the quality of products or materials. Therefore, it is necessary to collect data both in hardcopy and softcopy to see the development of the quality of the products produced by operators. At this time the use of clevis has been widely used starting from construction machinery, trucks, trailers, and as well as aviation systems. Therefore, it is necessary to implement a checking system that can ensure the safety level of the clevis. The thing that often happens when I encounter rejects on clevis is rejects on the gate clevis and pin holes, which are the two things that support and bind the clevis.

    Kontrol Level Air pada Miniplant Menggunakan Kendali Fuzzy Logic dengan Antarmuka Labview

    There are some measurement variable that should be controlled correctly in industry process. Variable control are so important to keep stability of system. Those variable are temperature, flow, pressure, and level. Water level control sometime have a storage tank that its level can be controlled and monitor.water level control mostly done by the controlling the percentage of the input valve of tank which that level controlled by the setpoint of the tank. Ultrasonic HC-SR04 sensor is use for reading the water level of the tank. The miniplant of the water level control using a method of fuzzy logic which display on the labview are build as a prototype of the water level control plant. Fuzzy logic controller is use for controlling the percentage of valve opened of tank. The method of fuzzy logic controller which used a centre of maximum method. When the number of the setpoint same as the actual level of water of the tank causing the stability of system. The result of this research show that when the setpoint goes up so the input valve of the tank will open than fill the tank until the number of setpoint same as actual level of water of the tank.
