    Intrusion detection system is a system designed to collect information about malicious activity on the network, analyse information, and provide warnings if there is intrusion. The purpose of this final project is to determine the software intrusion detection system suitable for use at the Politeknik Batam as a network security system server. Software of intrusion detection system compared in this final project is snort and base, suricata, and ossec.

    The purpose of final project is to solve problem of tests that are done offline and manually. The final project developed previous research that had been done by Januardi and Jonathan RK using procedural design. The first step is to analysis the features of previous research. Then do the identify of the proposed system. Next do the analysis, design, implementation and object- based testing. The research proved that the developed application was general application online exam with passing model based value and quota.

    System on PT. International Suntech currently has some problems facing the integration of data, the complexity of the production process and the slow response to a production. So that the current conditions it is very detrimental to the company. For that the company needed a system that can integrate data, pesediaan control and production management. ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is an integrated information system that can accommodate the needs of specific information systems for different departments in a company. Use of ERP consists of various modules that are provided for various needs within an enterprise, from a financial module to module production process. The use of ERP systems can integrate the various needs of the company into one system with one database, making it easier for each department in sharing data and communicating. ERP software on the market, not only alone but also commercial version available as open source. To that end, the ERP system implementation of this final project Adempiere using software based on open source as well as to test the integration of its modules. If the application modules that are appointed (production, stores, purchasing) is successful, it has not been covered for the module that can be applied with reference to the module that has been successful. Business processes that vary from one company to another company, allowing customization of ERP performed in its application.

    Development of science and technology today has brought better progress. There are so many benefits and conveniences that have been generated by the development of technology, especially with computers that can assist and facilitate the work system. Computers assist people in completing various tasks, such as systematic calculations, statistical data processing and so forth. On the application of HRD with Reminder system has two use cases in which use case describes the interaction between users and applications. On this use case each user has access rights to act as its function. In addition to this application there is a class diagram that describes the interactions between classes. With the application of HRD with Reminder systems can assist in the management of data, on which the application can display employee data, data length of service, salary data and can display a reminder for future work will end.

    Restaurant is a place that is organized commercially, that provides service to customers both in drinks & foods. As for right now, there are still lots of lack in service from taking the orders manually to getting information of the inventory. With this background, The Management system of the Restaurant Service Application is built so it could handle from the process of the ordering of the menu, the production, to the production stock payment for the customer. This application has function such as to reduce the amount of stock of the material automatically depending on Bill of Material that the chefs have when they are finished with the orders. This method is useful so that the data of the amount of stock of the material always being updated after each order is finished. The achievement of the development of this application is from all the reports on planning of the restaurant service of the management system then the application could be undertaken in restaurants and could handle the available problem.

    Batam Polytechnic has many student organizations. Every organization has a long-term work program, as well as short term. The work program is carried on one of them by organizing events such as seminars and workshops. Currently the show is done with the procurement manual process from filing borang space, registration, and printing the report period. This resulted in the management process requires considerable time and less efficient in terms of the use of paper so that the archived data becomes accumulate. Therefore, the presence of "Event Handling System UKM (ORMAWA) in Batam Polytechnic Based Web" can handle the submission process borang space, confirmation of the event, the addition of a list of events, registration of participants, and also print the report period. The system is built is intended for staff and also Staff BMN Batam Polytechnic, because the right to manage every submission events in Batam Polytechnic is BMN staff. In addition, the system is also intended for any UKM who will hold the event.

    Perancangan Sistem Raspberry Pi Text to Speech untuk Penyandang Tunanetra

    In general, people with visual impairment difficult to perform daily activities, one of them in terms of reading. They must first learn braille letters in order to read a written text. In an effort to help people with visual impairment in order to understand information from writing, then in this final project is made tool that can assist visually impaired to hear the text by voice. Develop this tool using the Python programming language on a Raspberry Pi, with Webcam plus as an image capture tool. In this research will be used Tesseract OCR as the optical character identifier generated by the camera. In addition, it is also used espeak for text conversion into sound. The result of this blind aid, the sound that has been converted from the image containing the text, so they can know what the contents of the text. The new thing is that they do not need to use braille in reading a post, but the information is still the same.
