    Visualisasi interaktif judul tugas akhir mahasiswa Politeknik Negeri Batam is a web application that displays the title of the students final project in a visual representation. Big data usually presented in textual form, then this application is converted data representation in visual form, namely nodes and link/edges. Visualization the final project title is combines web programming PHP and JavaScript using forced-directed layout. The final project title will be grouped into three categories, namely Software Development, Hardware & Network Technology and Game & Multimedia Technology. This web application provide some features such as filter to display the title of the final project according to year of the task made and the search feature by entering keywords in the form of final project title. With the web visualization application is expected to provide a brief overview of the relationship between the final project titles to the users.

    Open Source merupakan software yang bebas dipakai oleh pengguna dan benar- benar unlimited bukan aplikasi yang dibatasi oleh waktu ataupun fungsi. Open source juga dapat dimodifikasi dan didistribusikan source code hasil modifikasi dengan syarat-syarat tertentu misalnya dengan tetap mempertahankan nama pembuatnya atau nama pengembangnya. Software berbasis open source ini dapat memberi keuntungan bagi administrator pada masing-masing instansi pemerintah daerah di kota Batam, software ini juga dapat memberikan keuntungan bagi instansi terkait karena dapat mengurangi pengeluaran karena tidak perlu membayar lisensi. Dari data yang diperoleh, dilakukan suatu analisis untuk mendapatkan hasil survei dalam menentukan tingkat penggunaan perangkat lunak open source. Hasil survei yang diperoleh dilakukan pengolahan data untuk mengetahui seberapa besar tingkat penggunaan perangkat lunak open source oleh administrator instansi pemerintah daerah di kota Batam.

    Alat Pemisah Botol Plastik dan Kaleng Secara Otomatis

    Recycling is a non organic waste management strategy that includes the collection of trash, sorting, cleaning, and processing waste into items that are new to the production process About sorting trash in particular waste plastic bottles and cans in general still involves human hands in normal use. In this research, the author created a tool that can sort the waste plastic bottles and cans automatically to ease the work of man before the process is recycled. The components used to support the success of this tool is a proximity sensor to detect the difference between plastic bottles and cans, then servo motor as a drag each bottle is discarded and as a separator between plastic bottles and cans corresponding the container. Based on test results that the proximity sensor can detect 10 sample bottles by type consisting of 8 types of plastic bottles and 2 types of cans with a maximum detection distance of 2 cm, and the average time resulting in experiment tool is 10.37 seconds.
