Abstract
UMKM Maju Batam is a culinary business operating a cake consignment system in Villa Muka Kuning, Batam, with 20–25 active consignors and a transaction volume of 300–500 items per day. Manual stock recording and profit-sharing calculations have led to data errors, reporting delays, and a lack of transparency between the store owner and consignors. This study designed, implemented, and evaluated SIMPIK (Sistem Informasi Penitipan Kue) as a web-based solution developed using the User Centered Design (UCD) method based on ISO 9241-210:2019, with the Laravel framework and PostgreSQL database. Development was carried out in three iterative UCD cycles: Cycle 1 (authentication and consignor management), Cycle 2 (product management and daily stock recording), and Cycle 3 (dashboard and profit-sharing reports), each concluded with Black Box Testing and real user feedback evaluation. Functional testing of 47 scenarios across 15 functional requirements showed 100% compliance with specifications. Usability evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) involving 25 actual UMKM Maju Batam users yielded an average score of 80.2, categorized as Good (Grade B, Acceptable) based on Bangor et al.'s scale. Implementation reduced profit-sharing calculation time by 91.2% and eliminated 100% of calculation errors. These results confirm that the iterative UCD approach effectively produces a functional and easy-to-use cake consignment information system for users with varying levels of digital literacy
