Abstract

Currently, the data collection for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs/IKM) at the Batam City Department of Industry and Trade (Disperindag) is executed manually. This conventional approach frequently results in operational inefficiencies, potential data redundancy, and a higher risk of document loss. To overcome these challenges, this research proposes the creation of a web-based platform tailored to digitalize the IKM registration and monitoring workflows. The software engineering process applies the Waterfall life cycle, utilizing the Laravel framework for back-end architecture. System performance and quality were appraised employing the PIECES Framework, whereas the user interface experience was quantified through the System Usability Scale (SUS). Empirical outcomes demonstrate a PIECES mean score of 4.49, signifying a high level of satisfaction, alongside a SUS score of 83.5, which denotes an "Excellent" (Grade A) usability rating. Ultimately, this digital solution effectively streamlines administrative tasks, offers robust functionality, and provides an intuitive experience for its users.
