Abstract
Lack of survision and ignorance of LPG clynder leaks was a strong reason for the fire. Leaks in LPG
cylinders are caused by rubber quality that does not meet standard, improper
installation of the regulator, the quality of the cylinder itself and leaks in the valve
system. The aim of the final this project is to design a tool capable of detecting and
monitoring leaks in LPG cylinders based on the internet of things. System designed
uses several electronic components such as MQ-6 gas detector, buzzer as LPG gas
leak indicator, exhaust fan to facilitate indoor air circulation when a gas leak
occurs, nodemcu esp8266 as a data processing center. When the system detect
LPG gas leak, the system will automatically turn on the buzzer as an indicator of
LPG gas leak, exhaust fan will turn on to minimize the gas in the room. The research
result prove that the system can detect LPG gas in the air, system will automatically
detect LPG gas leaks when gas level over 1000ppm and detection data can be
monitored via the blynk applicaton that integrated on android. This research can
detect and monitor gas on a prototype scale, then a danger notification will be
displayed on the blynk app and the buzzer and fan will automatically turn on
