| dc.description.abstract | Photovoltaic (PV) module temperature is one of the factors affecting the performance of photovoltaic power plants, particularly inverter efficiency in converting direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC). This study aims to analyze the effect of PV module temperature on inverter efficiency in the 1 MWp Tanjung Uma On-Grid Photovoltaic Power Plant, Batam City. A quantitative descriptive method was employed by measuring PV module temperature using a FLIR TG165-X infrared camera, while voltage and current data on the DC and AC sides were obtained through the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. The data were analyzed using Pearson correlation, simple linear regression, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results showed that the PV module temperature ranged from 33.2 °C to 47.6 °C, with an average inverter efficiency of 97.61%. The Pearson correlation coefficient of -0.7108 indicated a strong negative relationship between PV module temperature and inverter efficiency, while the coefficient of determination (R²) of 50.52% indicated that PV module temperature significantly contributed to variations in inverter efficiency. These findings indicate that increasing PV module temperature tends to reduce inverter efficiency, highlighting the importance of temperature monitoring to optimize photovoltaic system performance. | |
