Abstract

Poor website performance can significantly reduce user experience quality. PT. Internasional Media Corp experienced this issue, where initial testing of the company's landing page revealed Core Web Vitals values far below Google's recommended standards. This study aims to redesign the company's landing page by implementing Core Web Vitals optimization techniques and evaluating their impact on user experience. The system was developed using the Waterfall model and Laravel framework by applying front-end optimization techniques, including image compression, lazy loading, CSS and JavaScript minification, and renderblocking resource reduction. Performance evaluation was conducted using Google Lighthouse and Google PageSpeed Insights, while user experience was measured using the System Usability Scale (SUS) involving 20 respondents. The results indicate that all Core Web Vitals metrics achieved the “Good” category. Mobile LCP improved by 97.1%, desktop LCP by 95.5%, while desktop CLS and TBT improved by 100%. The SUS evaluation produced an average score of 72.88, categorized as Good (Grade B). These findings demonstrate that implementing Core Web Vitals in landing page redesign effectively improves both website performance and user experience.
