Abstract
This research proposes a web-based real-time telemetry monitoring system for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that employs a WebSocket communication framework to provide concurrent multi-user observation. The MAVLink protocol is employed in the developed system to integrate Pixhawk telemetry collection. The backend architecture utilizing Python and Node.js is employed for telemetry processing, JSON validation, and real-time data transmission. The web-based UAV telemetry monitoring system presents essential flight parameters, including UAV orientation, GPS location, heading, battery status, altitude, speed, and PWM motor signals, via a browser interface that can be accessed simultaneously from many devices. Experimental findings indicate that, during authentic outdoor testing scenarios, the developed platform achieved a WebSocket-based server-to-client telemetry latency of 64.69 ms, calculated from the moment telemetry data was transmitted by the backend processing pipeline to its visualization on the browser dashboard, with latency values fluctuating between approximately 30 ms and 97 ms.
