Abstract

PT Bisnis Teknologi Manajemen faced operational challenges—such as delayed reporting, document fragmentation, and overlapping task assignments—stemming from manual, spreadsheet-based project management. This study aimed to design, implement, and evaluate a web-based project management information system prototype featuring team collaboration capabilities as an optimal solution. The Design Science Research Method (DSRM) was employed to develop the application using the Laravel framework (MVC architecture) and a MySQL database. The research successfully produced a web-based project management information system that integrates daily progress tracking (Weekly Task Planner), automated email notifications, centralized project documentation, and a client feedback module. Technical validation via Black Box Testing across ten functional requirement codes (F001–F010) yielded fully valid results for the Admin, Project Manager, Team Member, and Client roles. Furthermore, a usability evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method resulted in an overall average score of 99.60, classifying the system as "Best/Superior." In conclusion, the implementation of this system successfully improved work coordination efficiency, facilitated real-time progress monitoring, eliminated manual administrative burdens, and ensured transparent information access, thereby supporting the success of the software development lifecycle.
