Abstract

Manpower management at the Wave Soldering workstation in PT XYZ currently faces significant efficiency challenges due to the reliance on manual methods based on Microsoft Excel. Fragmented data processing leads to prolonged processing times, averaging 344 minutes per cycle, and a high risk of human errors in calculations. This research aims to design and build a web-based Resource Information System to digitize and automate the manpower planning process. The system development follows the Agile Software Development methodology using the ASP.NET Core framework and SQL Server database. To evaluate the system's effectiveness, the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) method is applied to compare workflows between the Current State and the Future State. Data was collected through direct Time Study observations over four planning cycles to ensure a consistent average value. The results demonstrate that the developed information system successfully integrates Demand Forecast, Work Order, and Bill of Materials data automatically. System implementation significantly reduced the planning cycle time from 344 minutes to 9.25 minutes, representing a 97.31% increase in time efficiency. Beyond speed, the system ensures 100% accuracy in manhours and pallet requirement calculations. This research provides a practical contribution to the Industrial Engineering department at PT XYZ as a decision support tool for optimizing human resource allocation on the production line.
