Abstract
The dynamic environment and rotational shift work within the hospitality sector demand high accuracy, data integrity, and velocity in managing Information Technology (TI) hardware assets. This study addresses the inefficiencies of manual tracking and operational bottlenecks at Hotel ABC by developing a decoupled IT Device Inventory Information System leveraging a RESTful API architecture with Laravel 12 and React.js. The proposed system integrates an instantaneous Smart Search mechanism, an automated Replacement Request handler, and a structured device disposal workflow. To safeguard asset authentication against tampering on shared corporate workstations, QR Code hardware tags are embedded with HMAC-SHA256 digital signatures, combined with Reed-Solomon Error Correction Level High (H) to preserve data readability despite physical label degradation. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) was executed via purposive sampling, selectively isolating five core stakeholders across operational shifts to evaluate the application against the PIECES framework. Security enforcement was validated through the integration of API session revocation and strict rate limiting (throttle:5,1) on the authentication endpoint. The empirical evaluation yielded an overall UAT suitability score of 94.44%, demonstrating that the software architecture is robust, tamper-proof, and highly acceptable for accelerating daily IT administrative workflows within live hospitality operations.
