Abstract

Accurate inventory control is a crucial element in company operations. The process of recording inventory and submitting goods that is not yet digitally integrated often triggers data discrepancies, loss of tracking records, and the risk of stockouts. This research aims to design and build a web-based Inventory Management System that is capable of digitizing the flow of Material Requests, recording incoming goods, Stock Opname, while implementing the Weighted Moving Average (WMA) algorithm as a decision support system to forecast future stock requirements. This system was developed using the Laravel framework with a Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) architectural approach that separates authorization rights between Requestors and Warehouse Admins. Evaluation of system functionality was tested using the Black Box Testing method, while the level of acceptance and feasibility of the system was validated directly by the company through User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The test results showed that all system modules ran 100% validly without errors. The WMA algorithm has been proven to be able to process historical data for the last 12 months and produce precise Reorder Point recommendations with a low error rate (MAD deviation evaluation), and automatically ignores data fluctuations from the Stock Opname process. The results of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) obtained an overall average score of 3.67 (Very Good category), which concludes that this system successfully meets the operational needs of PT Kuantum Gabe Integritas and is feasible to be implemented.
