Abstract

In a competitive business environment, human resource management becomes crucial to the success of an organization. One aspect that requires special attention is manpower planning and overtime management. In this project, writer’s developed a desktop application that aims to facilitate manpower planning and overtime data management.This application provides various features, including the ability to get a summary of the number of workers per group, record the number of workers for each section, and record overtime hours for each section. Apart from that, this application is also equipped with a feature for calculating ideal manpower requirements. The development approach adopted is the prototype method, chosen to ensure the application's adaptability and responsiveness to evolving user requirements. This method involves creating iterative versions of the application, allowing for continuous feedback and refinement. Test results show that this application can help companies plan their manpower more effectively, reduce unnecessary overtime costs, and increasing the productivity of manpower data managers. In conclusion, the Manpower Planning and Overtime Data Entry application has great potential to increase organizational efficiency and performance in managing human resources.
