Identifikasi Penyebab Tidak Berfungsinya Keran Lavatory Pada Pesawat Airbus 320-200HS-CBK

Abstract

This final project discusses the identification of the causes of a malfunctioning faucet in the lavatory of an Airbus A320-200 aircraft with registration HS-CBK. The lavatory is an essential facility that supports passenger comfort and ensures compliance with aircraft operational hygiene standards. The research was carried out through field studies, direct observation, consultation with technicians, and analysis of damage data from several aircraft of the same type. The analysis results indicate that the main factors causing the lavatory faucet to malfunction are leaks due to corrosion in the faucet or solenoid valve, as well as issues with the infrared sensor. The troubleshooting process included component inspections, sensor function testing, and replacement of damaged parts. The conclusion of this study is that leakage is the primary cause of the faucet malfunction, which can be resolved by replacing the faulty components to maintain optimal faucet performance and support the aircraft’s operational airworthiness.
