Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has driven digital transformation across various sectors, including logistics and inventory management, which play a crucial role in ensuring smooth business operations. Ineffective inventory management may lead to significant issues such as recording errors, discrepancies between system records and actual stock levels, and disruptions in goods distribution. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop a web-based inventory information system developed using the Laravel framework and MySQL database for MTSC Singapore Pte. Ltd. that incorporates Excel file upload functionality for bulk data entry, automated validation processes, and structured inventory tracking for incoming and outgoing goods. The system was developed using the Waterfall software development methodology, consisting of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing phases. The resulting web-based inventory system is capable of accelerating large-scale data entry processes, minimizing recording errors through automated validation, and providing a history tracking feature that enhances transparency and reporting accuracy. The findings indicate that the developed system improves the efficiency of inventory management, reduces the risk of data inaccuracies, and facilitates the monitoring of stock movements. Furthermore, the system contributes to data-driven decision making within the organization and may serve as a valuable reference for future research and development in the field of inventory information systems.
