dc.description.abstractPT. McDermott Indonesia is a company engaged in fabricating Oil and Gas platforms for the manufacture of offshore platforms. Currently, one of the ongoing projects is the NXFP project which amounts to 9 modules. In this research, the author took a crucial research subject from a module, namely the Leg Deck which is an assembly of starplates and tubullar which will be placed on the Cellar Deck. The creation of Le g Decks in the NXFP project has dimensional tolerance standards that must be followed in order to achieve the specified dimensional quality. In an effort to minimize errors in Assembly activities, there is a Quality Dimensional Control department whose duty is to inspect dimensions (sizes) and ensure the results of the Assembly between Tubular and Starplate in accordance with the tolerances that have been given. Dimensional inspection is carried out using the Leica TS 11 Total Station tool which has accurate accuracy. Measurement begins with making reference points as a mapping control framework in terms of measuring object dimensions then making inspection coordinate points on objects. In the dimension calculation stage using Bestfit software which serves to assist in the calculation process. The results of the long seam review are used as a reference in the assembly process and the results of measuring and processing tubullar and starplate produce length, levelness and ovality of objects which are then adjusted to the tolerances contained in the Dimensional Control Procedure Project soas to determine the acquisition of Assembly measurements between Tubullar and Starplate which is then poured in the form of a dimensional deviation report using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2023 software.
