Abstract
An offshore platform (Offshore Platform or Offshore Rig) is a building structure with drilling equipment that is
built offshore to support the exploration or exploitation process of mining materials and natural minerals. The
main function of an offshore platform (Offshore Platform or Offshore Rig) is for oil and gas exploration and
production. The most commonly used offshore platform is the jacket type offshore platform. The structure of
this type of platform consists of a jacket, deck and piles. The deck functions as a place to carry out all activities.
The jacket functions as a channel for lateral loads on the pile and is designed to act as a casing when the pile is
being driven. The pile functions as a load distributor to the seabed. In the process of making Jacket leg offshore
platform modules, it is important to implement an appropriate control system, but usually if a
size/dimensional error occurs it will not be detected until the assembly stage begins. This will be detrimental
to oil and gas construction companies both in terms of time, energy and operational costs. Implementation of a
control system with a total station and processing with Bestfit software will provide a decision support system
to overcome these dimensional problems. Processing measurement data with Bestfit can provide complete
and accurate information regarding the dimensions of the offshore platform. This is widely used to
continuously monitor the results of the manufacturing process, repairs and installation.

Description
Based on the results of the research conducted,
conclusions can be drawn. that straightness
measurements on Jacket Leg pipes in the SHELL CRUX
project using a total station can increase accuracy and
reduce errors caused by human factors such as reading
angles, distances, and others in the fabrication. The Jacket
Leg Pipe measurement results will provide a more
detailed understanding of the structure, allowing further
evaluation of the strength, stability and ability of the floor
structure to support the offshore platform Module and
other loads. These results can also be used in the design,
planning and maintenance of Jacket Leg Pipe Structures to
ensure safety and optimal performance. If the
measurement of the straightness of the Jacket Leg Pipe
shows appropriate results and is within the expected
tolerance, it can be concluded that the engineering and
construction process of the Jacket Leg Structure for the
offshore platform module is going well and the pipes are
constructed correctly.
