Analisis Efektivitas Pengembangan Explainer Video Pekan Kreativitas Mahasiswa Di Polibatam

Abstract

PKM was developed to guide students toward a level of creative and innovative enlightenment grounded in a mastery of science and technology, as well as strong faith. Previous research indicated that students struggled to access information regarding PKM. At Batam State Polytechnic (Polibatam), the dissemination of PKM information has traditionally relied on posters and PDF documents for promotion and guidelines. An explainer video is a promotional medium capable of enhancing information awareness and understanding. In designing the PKM explainer video, the author employed the Villamil-Molina development method, comprising the stages of development, pre-production, production, post-production, and delivery. Product evaluation using the EPIC Model yielded an EPIC rate of 4.52, placing the video in the "highly effective" category. This high level of effectiveness was driven by excellent scores across all dimensions: Empathy (4.50), Persuasion (4.43), Impact (4.51), and Communication (4.65). Overall, the study demonstrates that the use of explainer videos at Polibatam holds potential as an effective alternative medium for message dissemination.
