Abstract

The advancement of immersive virtual technology has encouraged the adoption of more interactive digital media for information delivery and learning. This study developed an Interactive 360° Virtual Tour for the main site of PT. Excelitas Technologies Batam using 3DVista Virtual Tour Pro to enhance information, orientation, and learning activities for employees and visitors. The system was developed using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method, consisting of concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution stages. The application integrates 360° panoramas, interactive navigation, information hotspots, Work Instruction documents, operational videos, and an interactive floor plan within a standalone Windows desktop application. A usability evaluation was carried out through the System Usability Scale (SUS) methodology involving 26 internal respondents from seven departments. The application yielded a mean SUS score of 84.23, exceeding the benchmark score of 68. Based on SUS interpretation standards, this result corresponds to Grade A+ and a Best Imaginable rating, indicating excellent usability and strong user acceptance. Therefore, the developed Virtual Tour is suitable as a media for information, orientation, and internal learning at PT. Excelitas Technologies Batam.

Description

Penelitian ini berjudul "Perancangan dan Implementasi Interactive Virtual Tour 360° di PT. Excelitas Technologies Batam" yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media sosialisasi dan pembelajaran internal berbasis virtual reality 360° menggunakan software 3DVista Virtual Tour Pro sebagai pengganti media video konvensional yang dinilai kurang interaktif. Pengembangan dilakukan secara sistematis menggunakan metode Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) yang terdiri dari enam tahapan: concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, dan distribution, dengan integrasi fitur panorama 360°, hotspot interaktif pada mesin produksi, video proses operasional, dokumen SOP/Work Instruction, floorplan navigasi, dan panel informasi perusahaan. Pengujian usability menggunakan metode System Usability Scale (SUS) untuk mengukur tingkat kemudahan penggunaan dan kepuasan pengguna terhadap aplikasi yang dikembangkan. Aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efektivitas sosialisasi internal, mempercepat proses orientasi karyawan baru, meningkatkan engagement dan pemahaman pengguna terhadap area kerja serta prosedur keselamatan, mendukung transformasi digital PT. Excelitas Technologies Batam, serta menjadi referensi pengembangan media interaktif serupa untuk perusahaan manufaktur lainnya dengan potensi pengembangan berkelanjutan di masa mendatang.
