Abstract

Advancements in digital technology have significantly impacted information dissemination in public services. However, the information media currently used in Sekupang District relies on conventional presentation methods, making it less communicative and visually unappealing when conveying service information to the public. This study aims to develop infographic media for public services specifically for Death Certificates and AK-1 services and to measure the effectiveness of the developed media. The research employs the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method, comprising the stages of concept, design, material collection, assembly, testing, and distribution. Testing involved alpha testing by subject matter and media experts, as well as beta testing with 30 respondents using the EPIC Model. Alpha testing results indicated that, according to subject matter experts, the digital infographic media achieved an average score of 4.60 and the print infographic media 4.40, both falling into the "Highly Suitable" category. Meanwhile, media experts rated the digital infographic media at an average of 3.71 and the print infographic media at 4.00, both falling into the "Suitable" category. Beta testing results showed that the digital infographic media achieved an EPIC Rate of 4.43, while the print infographic media scored 4.34; both fell into the "Highly Effective" category. These high effectiveness scores are attributed to the structured presentation of information, communicative visual design, and the use of clear, consistent language. Consequently, the developed infographic media is suitable and highly effective for use as a public service information medium in Sekupang District.
