Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of self-efficacy, self-regulation, and venture capital on entrepreneurial interest in fashion clothing among Generation Z students in Batam City. The target population is students in 9 universities in Batam City totaling 36,279 students. This study applied purposive sampling method with a total sample of 396 respondents where the sample was selected based on predetermined criteria, namely 1) active students in Batam city universities; 2) generation Z (born 1997-2012); 3) have received entrepreneurship courses. The main data collection method uses an instrument in the form of a questionnaire consisting of a number of questions regarding the independent variables consisting of self-efficacy, self-regulation and venture capital as well as the dependent variable, namely entrepreneurial interest. Researchers used quantitative research methodology in this study, specifically using an explanatory methodology known as Explanatory Research. This study uses Multiple Linear Regression data analysis method, using Statistical Package for Social Science 29 (SPSS 29) as statistical analysis software. The results of the analysis show that self-efficacy, self-regulation, and venture capital partially and simultaneously affect the interest in entrepreneurship. In addition, self-efficacy, self-regulation, and venture capital have a positive effect on entrepreneurial interest. Self-efficacy is a variable that dominates its influence on entrepreneurial interest because the percentage value of effective contribution of (38%) is greater than self-regulation (8.7%), and venture capital (17.6%).
