Abstract

Manufacturing companies, such as PT Amtek Engineering Batam, which specializes in metal stamping and electronic components assemblies, face challenges related to Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ). MOQ is the minimum number of units a supplier requires per order, impacting inventory management and cost efficiency. Incorrect MOQ can lead to increased storage costs, excessive inventory, and higher operational expenses. This study explores the effects of MOQ on inventory turnover and presents solutions using Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) to optimize inventory management. EOQ helps in minimizing ordering and holding costs by calculating the ideal order quantity. Implementing EOQ can enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve financial and supply chain management. The study concludes that precise MOQ determination is crucial for cost management and operational effectiveness in manufacturing.
