dc.description.abstractThe research aims to assess the efficiency of an instructional video on applicator installation at PT. XYZ utilizing the EPIC Model analysis approach. PT. XYZ, a key player in the automotive cable harness industry in Batamindo Industrial Park (BIP) Batam, Indonesia, follows a three-step production process: Cutting and Crimping (C&C), Assembly, and Quality Control, with C&C, especially crimping, being crucial. Previously, learning materials consisted only of PowerPoint slides lacking clear instructions or visuals, resulting in employees' insufficient comprehension. Therefore, the development of instructional videos aims to improve employees' understanding and proficiency in the applicator installation process. Employing the EPIC Model analysis approach, which evaluates empathy, persuasion, impact, and communication, the instructional video's effectiveness is assessed comprehensively. Findings from the analysis reveal that the instructional video is highly effective across all dimensions. The target sample for the calculation was 47 people, and the respondents obtained were 50 people, the EPIC Rate achieves a score of 4.83, indicating high effectiveness on the EPIC Model scale. In summary, the instructional video on applicator installation significantly influences PT. XYZ employees, particularly in the cutting and crimping department. Consequently, the video serves as a highly effective learning tool for PT. XYZ employees in applicator installation procedures.
