Abstract
This study aims to design and evaluate the effectiveness of a 2D animated video showcasing security agency company profile as a promotional tool. Previously, the company profile was presented in PowerPoint and PDF formats, with information that tended to be text-heavy; therefore, a new visual medium was needed that is more concise, engaging, and easy for the audience to understand. The video was developed using the Villamil-Molina method, which includes the development, pre-production, production, post-production, and delivery stages. The video design applied frame-by-frame animation techniques to the characters as an element of originality, while supporting visual elements were developed using a motion graphics approach. The effectiveness of the media was tested using the EPIC Model through alpha and beta tests to assess four dimensions: Empathy, Persuasion, Impact, and Communication. The evaluation results showed an average EPIC score of [4.04], with each dimension scoring Empathy [3.95], Persuasion [4.17], Impact [4.08], and Communication [3.98], thereby categorizing the media as suitable for use. These results indicate that the 2D animated company profile video can be used as a promotional medium capable of conveying the identity, services, and strengths of PT. Garda Bima Sakti in a visual, communicative, and easily understandable manner.
