EFEKTIVITAS PENGEMBANGAN KONTEN VIDEO INFORMATIF TENTANG TERMINAL BATU AMPAR SEBAGAI MEDIA EDUKASI PROTOKOL KEAMANAN PELABUHAN

Abstract

Batu Ampar Terminal is one of the main ports in Batam City that plays an important role in logistics and transportation activities. However, the dissemination of information regarding the terminal’s facilities, management, and security systems remains limited and has not been optimally delivered through engaging and easily understandable media. This study aims to develop an informative video content about Batu Ampar Terminal as an information medium for delivering port security protocols and to measure the effectiveness level of the developed media. The development method used in this study is the Villamil-Molina method, which consists of five stages: development, pre-production, production, post production, and delivery. Product feasibility testing was conducted through an alpha test involving one material expert and three media experts using a Likert scale. Furthermore, media effectiveness was evaluated through a beta test using the EPIC Model, which includes four dimensions: empathy, persuasion, impact, and communication, involving 30 field workers at Batu Ampar Terminal as respondents. The results showed that the developed informative video has a duration of 2 minutes and 59 seconds, in MP4 format with Full HD resolution. The alpha test results obtained an average score of 4.58 from the material expert, categorized as “Highly Feasible”, and an average score of 3.83 from media experts, categorized as “Feasible”. The beta test results using the EPIC Model obtained an EPIC Rate score of 4.37, which is categorized as “Highly Effective”. Therefore, the developed informative video is considered feasible and highly effective as an information medium for delivering security protocol information at Batu Ampar Terminal.
