Analysis of the Effect of Financial Ratios on Stock Underpricing in Companies that do IPO on the Indonesia Stock Exchange

Abstract

This study aims to find the effect of independent variables consisting of financial leverage, return on assets, return on equity, earnings per share, and firm size on the dependent variable, namely the underpricing value of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This type of research is quantitative research that focuses on processing the statistical results of the data obtained. Determination of the company sample using purposive sampling and obtained data from 48 companies taken from 2019-2023. The hypothesis testing used is the T test. The test results state that financial leverage, return on equity, and earnings per share have a significant effect on underpricing. In contrast, the return on assets and firm size variables do not affect stock underpricing.
