Abstract
NATOPC Batam is a computer retail and PC assembly business that requires
integrated inventory and transaction management due to the complexity of product
sources, component specifications, pricing, and PC compatibility. The existing
operational process still relies on spreadsheets for recording inventory, transactions,
payments, and reports. This condition creates difficulties in maintaining stock
accuracy, calculating product prices and profit margins, verifying payments, and
determining compatibility between PC components. This study aims to design and
develop a web-based Inventory and Transaction Management Information System
tailored to the operational requirements of NATOPC Batam. The system was
developed using the Waterfall method, consisting of analysis, system design,
implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance stages. Requirements were
collected through interviews with NATOPC representatives. The application was
implemented using the Laravel framework and MySQL database and integrates the
Midtrans payment gateway in a sandbox environment. The main features include
multi-supplier inventory management, product specification management, customer
and supplier management, digital transactions, automatic stock updates, transaction
and stock reports, dynamic price and profit margin calculations, and a PC assembly
simulation based on component compatibility. System evaluation was performed
using Black Box Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The functional testing
showed that the tested features operated according to the defined requirements, while
the UAT obtained an average score of 91%, categorized as Highly Feasible. These
results indicate that the developed system is feasible to support the operational
management of NATOPC Batam.
