Abstract

Sumi Space is a photo studio in Batam that operates on the concept of a self-photo studio, where customers can take photos themselves using the equipment provided at Sumi Space. This allows customers the freedom to express themselves and pose as they wish during the photo session. Financial reports are essential for every company. Its purpose is to provide information regarding the cashflow of a company. With financial reports, companies can make economic decisions more easily. Employees at Sumi Space currently use Microsoft Excel for their financial reporting. There are several disadvantages to using Microsoft Excel, one of which is manual entry. Users must input formulas to calculate totals, which can lead to calculation errors. Additionally, Microsoft Excel is a subscription-based application, requiring annual fees. The creation of the "Financial Reporting System at Sumi Space" aims to reduce errors in data entry, the data entry process for employees, and make financial reports easier to read and more organized. Furthermore, this system is designed to be more attractive and user-friendly in terms of UI/UX compared to Microsoft Excel, which only features tables with a monotonous appearance. With the new system, employees only need to input data without having to enter formulas to calculate totals, thus streamlining the process.
