IMPLEMENTASI SINEMATOGRAFI SMARTPHONE DALAM VIDEO "ARTEFAK TRADISIONAL SAMARINDA"

Abstract

Cinematography plays an important role in conveying visual messages, including in videos produced using smartphones. The video “Artefak Tradisional Samarinda” created for the 2022 National Vocational Skills Competition (NVSC), utilizes cinematography techniques to introduce the atmosphere and cultural values of Citra Niaga Market. This study was conducted to describe the implementation of cinematography and evaluate its contribution to effectively conveying the cultural heritage of Samarinda. The study used a descriptive qualitative method with primary data from the video and secondary data from expert interviews, which were then analyzed descriptively. The results of the study show that the combination of Shot Size, Camera Angle, and Camera Movement strengthens the visual narrative, highlights artifact details, and effectively conveys cultural messages. In addition, the use of natural lighting, symmetrical composition, warm color tones, depth of field, and natural mise en scène further strengthen the visual aesthetics of the video. The application of smartphone cinematography has proven to be effective in conveying cultural values through informative visuals.
