Abstract

PT Bumitech Batam Prima is a prominent mechanical, civil, electrical, and information contractor, specialising in the delivery of technical projects across a range of scales, from small-scale to large-scale. However, significant challenges in logistics management have the potential to disrupt the company's production process. The study indicates that the implementation of 5S workplace management techniques (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke) may prove an effective means of addressing this issue. The objective of these techniques is to enhance the productivity and efficiency of the work environment through effective organization and maintenance. Despite the fact that PT Bumitech Batam Prima has not yet fully implemented 5S, this research will identify potential applications of 5S within the company. Overall, the implementation of 5S at PT Bumitech Batam Prima has demonstrated positive outcomes in terms of operational efficiency and workplace comfort, which ultimately contribute to enhanced productivity and work quality.
