RANCANG BANGUN DAN EVALUASI MOTION GRAPHICS PADA MATA PELAJARAN PENGELOLAAN ADMINISTRASI UMUM DI SMKN 7 BATAM

Abstract

This study aims to design, develop, and evaluate a motion graphic video as a learning medium for the General Administration Management subject at SMKN 7 Batam. The development was motivated by students’ difficulties in understanding procedural administrative material, the dominant use of textbooks, and the limited availability of digital learning media that can support independent learning. This study employed a Research and Development approach using the ADDIE model, consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The media presents materials related to Indonesian and English correspondence, mail handling, official travel documents, travel accommodation and transportation arrangements, and executive schedule management. Product validation was conducted through an alpha test involving one media expert, who is a publication staff member at SMKN 7 Batam and a media practitioner, as well as two subject teachers as material experts. The beta test involved 60 eleventh-grade students from the Office Management and Business Services program. Media effectiveness was evaluated using the EPIC Model, which measures four dimensions: Empathy, Persuasion, Impact, and Communication. The evaluation results showed an average EPIC score of 4.25, with Empathy scoring 4.33, Persuasion 4.25, Impact 4.18, and Communication 4.24, placing the media in the very effective category. These results indicate that the developed motion graphic video can support classroom learning, improve students’ understanding of administrative procedures, and serve as a digital self-learning medium outside school hours.
