Abstract

Work reporting at PT Olsera Indonesia Pratama is still done manually through spreadsheets. This creates problems when multiple people access the same file: data gets duplicated, versions conflict, and it becomes difficult to trace who changed what, which in turn makes it hard for supervisors to verify submitted reports. To address this, a web-based work reporting system was designed and developed using the Laravel framework, following the Waterfall method of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The system accommodates four user roles (administrator, staff, supervisor, and management) and provides a structured workflow for report submission and supervisor validation. Its functionality was tested through blackbox testing across twelve scenarios covering authentication, product management, report submission, and report validation. User acceptance and usability were assessed using User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and the System Usability Scale (SUS), involving 16 respondents from the sales division. UAT results showed an overall score of 3.77 out of 5, indicating the system was acceptable to users, while the SUS score of 55.16 fell into the Poor category; further analysis found that most respondents gave near-identical answers across all ten SUS items regardless of whether the statement was positive or negative, suggesting the low score reflects inattentive responding rather than genuinely poor usability
